This circle is a wonderful opportunity to play music with others in a relaxed setting. We have all kinds of percussion for you to use and we'll even show you how. Come out and play with us.

About the facilitator:

Matt Zavadil has been facilitating drum circles and teaching hand drumming classes in the northeast Georgia area since 2001. His passion for rhythm and dance keeps the circle lively and fun.

Matt is committed to learning the art of facilitation. In early 2007 he will be attending two nationaly acclaimed drum facilitator workshops to hone his skills so that he may bring even more excitement and fun to rhythm events he creates.

Why facilitate a drum circle?

Facilitated group drumming is a powerful way for people of all ages to easily access the joy of music with no prior experience, and to freely express themselves in a fun and cooperative way while relieving stress and connecting with others. (Why facilitate?)

Party Jams is a unique form of entertainment for your next party or gathering. Get funky or primal with a special theme, or just cirlce everyone up and we'll get the party started with some contagious, high energy rhythms that everyone participates in. It won't be long before some of your guests will be dancing in the circle. This is a sure winner. Call us for ideas.

Rhythm For the Fun of It is joy in motion. Through this program elders at both senior activity centers and assisted living homes have a wonderful time in hands-on music-making.

After 30 - 60 minutes of this group activity everyone is energized, full of life, and is wearing a big smile.

This fun, memorable experience is something they tell their families about.

The Kids Kamp Rhythm Circle is a valuable asset to any camp for kids as it reinforces what many are trying to teach through interactive games and processes.

Boys and girls both benefit from the cooperative effort, mutual respect, taking turns, improvisation, modeling behaviors, and other aspects of this rhythm circle, and have fun and create music at the same time.

The Rhythm Hut can be found at art and music festivals across north Georgia and beyond. This is a tent set up to provide festival attendees the space to interact with others in an energetic groove that rivals most carnival rides. All ages are welcome.

As the drums, shakers, rattles, bells, and clackers create a vibrant groove, large crowds migrate to the tent. Some play while others jump in the middle and dance.

The Rhythm Hut will be one event people leave talking about.

At Home in Rhythm is a program specifically designed for children with unique needs. Participants experience the connection and joy that comes from the common groove through a process called entrainment. This seemingly magical phenomenon occurs when the group is in rhythmical alignment with each other.

Community Drum Circle is a fun and exciting facilitated experience for the whole family. It is not unusual to have an age range of 60 years among participants, making it a powerful way to build community.

Everyone who plays has something to offer the circle. No prior musical experience is needed and authentic expression that supports the group is encouraged.
